2011 Tax Credits
Tax credits have been extended through December 31, 2011 for residential customers purchasing new qualified heating systems. If you buy a new furnace or boiler, you may qualify for a (dollar for dollar) credit of 10% of the installed cost of the unit up to a maximum of $150. For heat pumps, you may receive a credit of 10% of the installed cost up to a maximum of $300. This credit may not be available after the end of the 2011 tax year, so now is the best time to lock in the most possible savings on all your heating equipment for next winter.
